Employment & Internships
EMPLOYMENT, INTERNSHIPS AND VOLUNTEERING
As an F-1 international student, you may work on-campus without authorization while studying at MCPHS.
For off-campus work, you must have authorization, and the job must relate to your field of study. Most off-campus internships or curricular placements require this permission. Authorization may also be granted for severe economic hardship or if your home country qualifies for Special Student Relief (SSR).
For details about CPT, OPT, Economic Hardship, or SSR, visit Immigration & International Support Services.
Before accepting any off-campus job or internship, you MUST consult Immigration & International Support Services. Engaging in unauthorized off-campus work, internships or volunteer experiences will seriously jeopardize your F-1 immigration status in the U.S.
