Visa Renewal Checklists
For F-1 International Students

๐ Step 1: Schedule Your Visa Interview
- Visit the U.S. Embassy/Consulate site: usembassy.gov
- Schedule your visa interview at the earliest available date
- Review country-specific instructions and requirements
๐ Step 2: Prepare Your Visa Application
- Complete DS-160: ceac.state.gov
- Ensure I-20 has valid travel signature (within last 6 months)
- Print I-901 SEVIS fee receipt: fmjfee.com
- Obtain proof of enrollment: transcript or verification letter
- Provide original financial support documents:
- Personal bank statement (English, USD)
- Sponsor’s bank documents + Financial Sponsorship Certificate
- Official sponsor letter from org/government
- MCPHS Award Letter (if applicable)

- Discuss non-immigrant intent
- Review automatic visa revalidation options
- Consider applying in a third country
- Plan for potential administrative processing delays

- Visit the U.S. Consular website: usembassy.gov
- Schedule your interview as early as possible
- Check for country-specific document requirements
๐ Step 2: Prepare Your Visa Application
- Complete DS-160: ceac.state.gov
- Ensure I-20 has valid travel signature (within last 6 months)
- Print I-901 SEVIS fee receipt: fmjfee.com
- Bring your EAD (Employment Authorization Document)
- Obtain a job confirmation letter (on company letterhead)
- Provide financial support documents:
- Personal bank statement (English, USD)
- Sponsor’s bank documents + Financial Sponsorship Certificate
- Official sponsor letter from org/government
